MACHI is a Taiwanese slang for brotherhood, good friends, and family. MACHI is a basic belief and a way for life, allowing the uninhibited exploration of the sounds, representing emotions and impulses of self and society. The MACHI Crew was formed in 2003, when Jeffrey Huang decided to pursue and push the limits of Hip Hop music after a 6 year break from the Chinese music scene. Jeffrey Huang pioneered Chinese Hip Hop with his crew LA BOYZ back in 1990. Together with Jae Chong formerly from SOLID(pioneering Korean r and b group), they founded MACHI.

With the roots of MACHI’s talent stemming from Jeffrey and Jae’s hip-hop and r and b background in Los Angeles, they took their influence and reached way beyond those musical parameters, MACHI has torn down the segregating barricades between western and Asian music. Through music, MACHI has allowed different genres like hip-hop, pop, soul, rap or underground to integrate and fuse with Chinese culture. In this process, MACHI has given birth to a new and unique musical form in the Chinese music scene. From superstar artists like Missy Elliot, A-Mei, Stanley Huang, Vanness Wu, Elva Hsiao, Coco Lee, Brandy and many more, Jeffrey Huang and Jae Chong has collaborated and produced multi-platinum, chart-dominating hits in the Chinese music industry. The emergence of MACHI Entertainment represents an evolution in the Asian entertainment industry. MACHI Entertainment is Asia's most influential entertainment company. Together Jeffrey Huang and Jae Chong have collectively sold 25 million copies in Asia.
